Environmental & Outdoor Learning
At Ute Pass Elementary School, our commitment to outdoor learning is further enhanced by Project Learning Tree (PLT), a nationally recognized environmental education program. PLT is embedded into the school’s outdoor expeditions and science curriculum, offering students:
- Hands-on, field-based exploration of nature and ecosystems
- Opportunities to engage in environmental stewardship and sustainability
Integrated learning experiences that connect with science, literacy, and social studies - Leadership development through inquiry-based and collaborative projects
We believe that every student deserves access to an engaging, rigorous, and supportive learning experience. Through aligned curriculum, purposeful SEL, and hands-on exploration, we empower students to grow as curious thinkers, compassionate peers, and capable citizens of the world.
