3rd Grade

Third graders become thinkers and innovators in my classroom. It is a place where they feel safe to use their imaginations to create and take risks in their learning. Third graders need to be encouraged to develop their curiosity, to ask questions and experience joyful learning in an environment that fosters their independence. They transition from learning to read to reading to learn. They will learn how to be problem-solvers while they investigate math concepts, explore ancient history, and think like scientists. Third graders will become authors and will publish and share their own work all year. This website will be used to share our experiences together. It will also serve as a resource for reading passages connected to our curriculum, math links, and other sites that support our learning.
